Vinegar is very helpful to stop the symptoms. Vinegar is a broad
spectrum antiseptic, but the key is it can only target pathogens
localized to the small intestine as it has no effects in the colon (it
is absorbed). For some reason it never struck me that the fact vinegar can help instantly to resolve the symptoms is diagnostic that the pathogen lives in my small intestine. Giardia,
like many water parasites/protozoa, reproduce and live dormant in the
small intestine. Whatever pathogen i have, it is small intestine level,
not large. In other words, the problem is not some hippie paleo BS idea
about "GI flora", i have a straight up BASTARD living in my small
intestine. If otherwise were false, vinegar would have no antiseptic
effect (and it does, a pretty potent one).
